The IC697CGR935 module is a single-slot controller in the GE Fanuc family that allows CPU redundancy applications to perform necessary wave point calculations. The IC697CGR935 module in the redundant system functions as the controller. There are two control methods to be aware of when using IC697CGR935. In the GHS process, multiple single-bus networks with one redundant controller are used in each synchronous PLC. When using the GDB process, multiple I/O networks and single or dual buses are used in each synchronous PLC. Each control method can be easily activated and used. In the IC697CGR935 module, the memory board provides the data and the program memory is contained in the module. The IC697CGR935 can be operated remotely or with a three-digit RUN/STOP switch. Located in front of the module is the LED, which specifies the state of the CPU.
You should not attempt to install the IC97CGR935 module without referring to the appropriate Programmable controller installation and Hot standby CPU redundancy manual. The battery should be connected to one of the battery connectors of the module. The key switch should be positioned to MEMORY PROTECT OFF and there should be no rack power supply. After the module is installed in slot 0 of rack 1, the power will be turned on. The LED at the top should flash, indicating that the IC697CGR935 module is powered on. After the diagnosis is effectively completed, the LED in the upper left corner remains lit, while the second and third leds are extinguished. The MEMORY PROTECT LED of the fourth LED is off because the key switch is in the off position. You are now ready to program the CPU. The CPU can be programmed regardless of the position of the keys.
