The bus controller is installed in a single slot in the 90-70 series PLC rack. Like all 697-734 series bus controllers, the IC697BEM734 bus controller can be configured using the MS-DOs-based configuration software Configurator feature, providing an intuitive programming environment and allowing operators to specify and set baud rates and serial bus addresses. By default, the IC153BEM6 bus controller is set to 31.<> kbaud as the standard baud rate and the default serial bus address is set to <>, but the user can select a specific baud rate and serial bus address through the configuration software.
