Product description
The IC697BEM731 is a Bus controller module (BCM) manufactured by GE Fanuc for the 90-70 series. The IC697BEM731 is designed for the Genius I/O handheld display IC660/IC661. The IC697BEM731 module can be used as a single channel controller; It therefore occupies only a single handheld display (IC66*) PLC slot. This BCM asynchronously scans the IC66* input/output module; Thus, once per scan, I/O data is transmitted to the CPU via the backplane of the IC697 PLC rack. The IC697BEM731 BCM is also responsible for supporting directed communication from PLC CPU communication service requests. In addition, it can be configured to perform global communication. The IC697BEM731 can only be configured via the MS DOS or Windows programming software configuration feature.
Other features of the IC697BEM731 include 30 voltage drops per channel, IC66* or IC661 I/O diagnostics, support for redundant blocks, cable and CPU, LAN communication, CPU soft configuration, and alarm processor capabilities. Please refer to the applicable PLC installation manual before installation. Power should be turned off before starting. Follow the instructions to install the rack, then turn on the power. If done correctly, the module will be powered on by the corresponding blinking LED.
