Product description

The IC697BEM713 is a 90-70 series bus transmitter module (BTM) manufactured by GE Fanuc. When the system requires additional modules (up to seven added IC697 PLC racks), the IC713BEM697 module allows scaling from the main CPU rack. High performance parallel programming is an important function. In addition, this BTM is easy to configure and does not require the use of DIP switches.

The IC697BEM713 module is located in a single slot and has two connectors, a top connector for connection to the programming device and a bottom connector for daisy-chain arrangement to the expansion rack via BRM. The bus sender module should be configured using the MS-DOS or Windows programming software configuration feature.

Status LED (3) alerts the user that there is a problem with the port and/or module. When the CPU software completes the BTM configuration and polls each system extension rack, the module OK LED at the top will light up. When these conditions are not met, it will issue an OFF. The programmer port enable indicator in the middle may flash or appear ON to indicate that the programmer and PLC are communicating. When they don't communicate, it sends OFF. The enabled Expansion port LED at the bottom indicates the status of the expansion bus. This LED may blink on when the BTM is communicating with the bus receiver module, or blink OFF if it is not.

When installing the IC697BEM713, the user should have the corresponding programmer controller manual for reference. Before starting, the power must be turned off. Once the module is installed in the main CPU rack, it can be powered off. However, it is important to note that modules cannot be installed in slot 1. It must be installed to the right of any IC697 interrupt source module.
