Product description
The GE Fanuc IC693CHS397 is a 5-slot modular CPU mainboard. To operate the baseboard, the user must insert the power module into the left slot. This slot is unique in size and type, as IN only supports power modules. This slot is not numbered. In slot 1, a CPU or special option module must be installed. Similar to Slot 2, this slot is unique in size and type as it can only support CPU modules or special option modules such as the FIP Remote I/O Scanner (IC693BEM330). Slot 1 is labeled CPU/1.
For all slots numbered 2 and above, the user can install optional modules or I/O modules. These slots have a unique size and type, so they will support either one. Modular CPU backboards can support scaling and remote backboards. Therefore, at the right end of the baseplate, there is a female expansion connector. This is a 25-pin D type that allows the user to connect to an extension or remote backboard.
