The GE Fanuc IC695LRE001 module is a serial bus sending module manufactured by GE Intelligent Platform /GE Fanuc as part of the RX3i family. The module is designed to provide serial expansion and communication between the remote backplane and the RX3i PacSystems universal backplane. Its function is to convert the levels in the universal backplane to signal levels according to the needs of the serial expansion backplane. The IC695LRE001 serial bus terminal has only one slot. It comes with an RS-232 serial port for communication purposes with an effective data rate of 500 KB per second. Other specifications include a maximum cable length of 50 feet for expansion backplanes and 700 feet for remote backplanes. The IC695LRE001 module must be located inside a special expansion connector on the right side of the universal backplane.
