The IC695EDS001 is a DNP3 external station module that is part of the PAC system RX3i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC), formerly owned by GE Intelligent Platforms and now owned by Emerson Automation. The module supports DNP3 slave station I/P communication over Ethernet, allowing data exchange of up to 12072 points and 20,000 events between DNP3 master stations. The module also supports four (4)DNP3 data objects, including DI, DI w/time, DO, DO w/time, CROB, analog output values, time Settings, and class polling.

The IC695EDS001 comes with one (1) module station Manager port for module and network management and also as a firmware upgrade port. For the DNP3 connection, it has 2 RJ45 terminals and supports 10/100mbps transfer rates. These ports act as embedded Ethernet switches capable of automatically sensing a direct connection to a 10BaseT or 100BaseTX IEEE 802.3 network without the need to install an external transceiver. These ports support various network topologies, such as Line, Star, Daisy chain, or Ring topologies.

The IC695EDS001 is installed on the PACSystem RX3i rack and occupies a single slot in the chassis. Multiple module instances are allowed, in particular up to 4 IC695EDS001s per RX3i system. Supports the module power off and plug out (RIUP) function.
