The IC695CPU310 PACSystems RX3i processor is manufactured by GE Fanuc/Emerson Automation. The processor is a programmable automation controller (PAC) with significant enhancements, including increased RAM, a faster microprocessor, faster logic execution times, and more compact and rugged components.
The IC695CPU310 has an embedded 10MB user memory and 10MB non-volatile memory. This is much higher compared to most available PACs. It also has an Intel Celeron M processor with a processing speed of 300 MHz. It can process up to 195 Boolean instructions in 1000.0 milliseconds and supports downloading up to 512 blocks, each 128 MB in size. The processor supports data types such as %I and %Q, each of which can be configured with up to 32Kb of discrete data; %AI and %AQ: Configurable up to 32K words; %W, configurable for maximum available user random access memory (RAM) and symbolic address, configurable up to 10 MB.
The IC695CPU310 is compatible with either of these two (2) backplanes. These midplanes are the universal midplanes of slot Rx695i 016 whose directory number is IC3CHS16 and the universal midplanes of slot Rx695i 012 whose directory number is IC3CHS12. The backplane connection is established through a PCI slot to provide high-speed data exchange on the backplane. In addition, the IC695CPU310 supports legacy system migration and provides remote I/O compatibility with the 90-30 series I/O modules.
The IC695CPU310 has upgraded firmware. It supports programming using IEC 61131-3 standard programming languages such as Ladder Diagram (LD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD) and C language.
