IC695CMM002 is a PACsystem RX3i serial communication module. This is an optional module for serial connection of host RX2i cpus via two (3) independent and isolated serial ports that can be configured individually for RS232, RS422 / RS485 communication via programming software Settings.
The IC695CMM002 supports a variety of communication protocols, such as MODBUS Master, MODBUS slave, CCM slave, DNP3 master, DNP3 slave, or serial I/O protocols, however, when the DNP3 master or slave is set to any port, Other interfaces can only be assigned to the DNP3 master station or slave station for communication.

The IC695CMM00 communication module is a communication module with 2 serial ports. Serial ports are independent and isolated. The RX6i PacSystems backplane can accommodate up to three serial communication modules. Each serial port on the IC695CMM002 communication module can be configured for Modbus master, Modbus slave, Serial I/O protocol, DNP3 slave, DNP3 master, and CCM slave operation. The default flow control is full duplex. However, for firmware version 1.32 or later, flow control can be configured as half-duplex. RTS/CTS hardware handshakes and RFR/CTS handshakes for RS-232 communication are supported. The serial port can be configured for RS-232 or RS-485/422 communication. The baud rate is optional, and they can be set to 1200 baud, 2400 baud, 4800 baud, 9600 baud, 19.2 kb, 38.4 kb, 57.6 kb or 115.2 kb.
