The IC695ACC402 is an energy pack module designed specifically for the CPE 330 controller of the PACSystem RX3i. This energy pack is primarily used to provide sufficient controller power to allow the transfer of memory contents from random access memory (RAM) to non-volatile memory or flash memory to be performed. The energy unit is a DIN rail mounted version that connects to the partner controller via the 695 inch (002 m) IC36CBL1. The energy pack is charged by an external supply voltage of 18-30 VDC, with a maximum power of 36 watts. It offers an output voltage range of 18-30 VDC, an output current of 2.25 amps, and a maximum output power of 45 watts. The power pack has a rear-set trip voltage of 16.7 VDC, +/- 4%, and a capacitor standby service life of 5 years. When connecting this module to the controller, make sure that you are not actively supplying power to the CPE330. To ensure a secure connection, use the extra screws provided in advance. The IC695ACC402 operates at -25 to 60°C (32°F to 140°F), is stored at -40 to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F), has a relative humidity of 5% to 95% and is non-condensing. During operation, the energy group provides status information that is forwarded to the controller. Such status information includes charge, fault, low capacitance, and full charge. The GE IC695ACC402 CPU power pack is specifically designed to operate with only 1 RX3i CPU module, i.e. the RX3i CPE330 CPU, and operates by preserving energy in the PLC during power failure. When the PLC's power supply is lost for any reason, the IC695ACC402 CPU power pack will start and keep the backup power supply long enough for the RX3i CPE330 CPU to save data in its user memory. The CPU saves this data by writing it all from user memory to non-volatile memory. This CPU can also be configured to power on from RAM, and if configured in this way, its user memory will be restored when the PLC power is restored.

The GE Fanuc RX3I PacSystems IC695ACC402 CPU power pack is installed with the RX3i CPE330 CPU with a special dedicated cable called the GE IC695CBL002 cable.
