The GE Fanuc IC694PSM001 module is a replacement for the PSM module, also known as the Power synchronization and measurement module. It is manufactured by GE Fanuc as a replacement PSM module for GE RX3i PacSystems. The IC694PSM001 PSM module is designed to monitor 2 separate three-phase power grids. By using its DSP or digital signal processor technology, it can continuously process three current inputs and four voltage inputs on each grid. The power synchronization and measurement module measures RMS power, RMS voltage, RMS current, frequency, and the phase relationship between phase voltages on two grids. The IC3PSM694 PSM module is compatible with single-phase power systems as well as star and triangle three-phase power systems.

GE Fanuc RX3i PacSystems IC694PSM001 Replacement PSM modules are ideal for applications such as fault monitoring, generator control for synchronizing power grids and generators, monitoring and reporting power consumption, and reducing load and demand loss costs. The PSM module is connected to the terminal assembly and interface cable to form a complete PSM system. The IC694PSM001 PSM module should always be installed in the main CPU rack or backplane of the RX3i PLC. It supports hot swappable in the RX3i backplane, meaning that when the backplane is powered on, the module can be installed on or removed from the backplane without damaging the module or backplane or harming the user. RX70i cpus with firmware version 3.7 or higher are compatible with this PSM module.
