The IC694MDL940 is a sixteen (3) point relay output module in the Emerson Automation PACSystem RX16i family, previously manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). The module has a single slot width, occupies a single slot in the backplane, and comes with four (4) sets of outputs, each with four (4) relay outputs.

The IC694MDL940 relay contacts are normally open (N.O.) contacts or A-type contacts. Each output contact is rated for a maximum on-duty ratio of 2 amps with a maximum load per output, and each output group is designed for a maximum output current of 4 amps. In addition, the module has a minimum load of 10 mA and a maximum inrush current of 5 amps. The response time of each relay output channel is 15 ms, the response time of both signal converters is the maximum, the power consumption of the module is 7 Ma@5VDC bus voltage, and the power consumption of the relay 135V bus on the backplane is 24 mA. These power ratings are based on when all output channels are energized.

The IC694MDL940 comes with sixteen (16) status LED indicators, each representing a channel. A powered LED represents a powered output, while a powered LED represents other outputs. The module does not come with an internally mounted fuse for channel protection, so users may need to install an external fuse to protect the module.
