GE Fanuc's IC694CEE001 carrier is the RX3i PacSystems series CEP extended carrier. It is a purpose-built module manufactured by GE Fanuc and is part of the RX3i PacSystems controller or PLC. The IC694CEE001 extended carrier can be connected to remote nodes consisting of a single RX3i I/O module and a PROFINET I/O local area network or LAN. This expansion bracket is installed in the controller via the RX3i CEP001 bracket connected to the controller. Installing the IC694CEE001 expansion tray in the controller can install additional RX3i IC694 I/O modules to remote nodes. The power LED on the IC694CEE001 expansion bay lights up in a different color to inform the user whether the expansion bay is working properly. When the power level is in the correct range, the LED is green, when the power level is too low, the LED is amber, and when there is no power supply, it is off.
GE RX3i PacSystems IC694CEE001 CEP Extended carrier Receives power from the GE CEP001 carrier connected to the PLC system. This expansion bay does not have a USB connector or any Ethernet port connector for firmware upgrades. The RX3i PacSystems IC694CEE001 CEP expansion bay can be configured with Proficy Machine Edition software 6.3 or later with SIM 8 or later. Both this extended carrier module and its host CEP001 carrier module can be mounted on a panel or DIN rail, provided there is sufficient mounting space around them to accommodate the communication port cable and power cord, as well as operating the DIN latch if the carrier is mounted on the DIN rail. There should also be enough free space to allow carriers to emit excessive heat.
