The IC694ALG542 analog current/voltage module is manufactured by GE Fanuc for PACSystems RX3i. The advanced diagnostics feature provides hybrid I/O analog current/voltage with four differential input channels. In addition, two single-ended output channels are provided. The machine version software can be used to configure any of the following ranges: (0 to +10 volts) unipolar, (-10 to +10 volts) bipolar, 0 to 20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA. In addition, the input channel can be configured for 4-20 mA enhancement mode. Each individual output can be configured to maintain the final state or the lower end of the power range. This will take effect if the system power supply is interrupted. The output is also configurable. These can be run in ramp mode according to the commands of the application. In this mode, the output channel rises to the new value gradually over time, rather than immediately. Upper and lower limits can be set for each channel, and open-circuit faults can be reported to the CPU for each individual output channel.



The IC694ALG542 module provides features such as open circuit detection for each input in the enhanced range, configurable scaling and offset per channel, and alarm detection and reporting per channel. The module also provides module failure reporting and supports full diagnostic point failure contacts in logic programs. Firmware upgrades are fully supported.


The GE Fanuc IC694ALG542 analog I/O module is designed to easily install and remove the RX3i backplane. It can be powered from an external 24 volt DC rated power supply or the 3 volt DC power supply present in the RX5i backplane. The GE Fanuc IC694ALG542 analog I/O module has an update rate of 2 milliseconds, making it one of the fastest information processors in its class. The GE Fanuc IC694ALG542 analog I/O module provides customizable signal scaling, open circuit detection, user-configurable alarms and fault reporting. With a multifunctional device like the GE Fanuc IC694ALG542 analog I/O module, it has never been easier to control actuators and monitor sensor status from a single configurable device.


During installation, in order to ensure proper operation, the module requires 24mA plus loop current from a user-supplied 150Vdc external power supply. The module can be inserted and removed from the RX3i backplane. The update rate of this module is 2 milliseconds.
