The IC660ELB922 PC interface module is a single-slot XT/AT interface board of GE Fanuc in Genius I/O. It comes with a motherboard and 2 subboards. Communication between the child board and the host bus is established through the motherboard. Some of the features of the daughter board include fault management for up to 30 bus devices, continuous update of the I/O controller image, communication with other components in the Genius I/O PLC system, and the provision of IBM PC bus optimized RAM. The motherboard is equipped with a watchdog timer that helps monitor system operation to shut down the daughter board in the event of a failure of the host bus system. Board edge connectors can be used to connect this module to the Genius bus.

The IC660ELB922 dual-channel PC interface module has two status indicator leds on the panel of the sub-board, namely, the "Board OK" LED and the "Module OK" LED. This PCIM is compatible with machines that support IBM XT, AT, and CIMSTARI. The handheld display can be connected to the module using an external genius connector. It comes with configurable software to easily configure modules. The software includes C language compatibility and basic language compatibility library packages, which provide a high-level interface between user-developed applications and PC interface modules. This two-channel PCIM consumes 1.5 amps of current and uses 5 volts DC power. The PCIM motherboard uses 4 bytes of mapped memory space. Each subboard of the module has 16 KB of host memory. In order to successfully configure PCIM and Genius I/O host communication Settings, an IBM XT/ AT-compatible personal computer and IC660ELB922 PCIM are required.
