The IC660ELB906 PC interface module or PCIM manufactured by GE Fanuc is installed in the XT-type slot of a personal computer. It is designed to connect the Genius bus to a compatible host. It is also designed to integrate with user-developed microprocessor systems. The interface module's cost-effective design, extensive diagnostic facilities, and high levels of reliability and noise resistance make it ideal for Genius I/O systems. The IC660ELB906 PC interface module provides control and monitoring functions such as low supply voltage detection, host system address decoding, host interrupt control, signal conditioning, and built-in watchdog timer. It also provides an onboard DIP switch for configuring the network data rate.

The IC660ELB906 PC interface module consists of a motherboard and a subboard designed to provide efficient interface facilities. The main board is a 2-layer rectangular board, and the sub-board is a 4-layer rectangular board. Its function consists of 3 main parts, namely serial interface, dual port RAM and PCIM management processor. The required data from the host computer is received into the input table segment for the corresponding serial bus address of the bus interface unit. In order to accurately use the I/O data of the bus interface unit, the module layout and I/O data information of the workstation must be correctly entered into the host.
