The IC695CPE400 is a compact result optimization controller from the GE Fanuc PACSystems RX3i family. The IC695CPE400 is the rackless and self-contained part of what GE calls an Industrial Internet control system. The controller supports PROFINET, the standard protocol for industrial networking.
The IC695CPE400 provides communication and analysis by utilizing a platform called Field Agent as a hypervisor. Field agents enable controllers to interact with edge-based or cloud-based applications. In other words, controllers are just as effective as applications that perform calculations at the sensor level or at the "edge" of the network, and applications that parse data on remote servers. The firmware in the IC695CPE400 is automatically upgraded during power-on using the Ethernet port. The controller has 64 MB RAM and 64 MB non-volatile flash memory. The IC695CPE400 can use an optional energy pack (IC695ACC403) as a memory backup mechanism. With this energy pack, when an unexpected fluctuation or interruption causes the system to lose power, the controller saves data by writing it from short-term memory to long-term memory so that it can be restored when power is restored.
You can program the IC695CPE400 using ladder diagrams, structured text, function block diagrams, or C syntax. The controller is equipped with four separate Ethernet 10/100/1000 Lans. The LAN1 uses a dedicated RJ45 connector IC695CPE400 on the front panel of the case. The LAN2 and LAN3 are connected via a pair of RJ45 connectors with internal switches. LAN4 plugs into the bottom of the device and is used to connect to the field agent platform.

The IC695CPE400 Result Optimization controller can also handle up to four Ethernet Lans that can be rated for different communication speeds at once. Each LAN is independent and connected to different points on the controller. LAN 1 is connected to the RJ45 connector on the front of the controller, both LAN 2 and LAN 3 are connected to the other RJ45 connectors on the internal switch, and LAN 4 is connected to the port located on the bottom of the IC695CPE400 Result Optimization controller.
