Product description

The IC693CPU364 is a single socket CPU (from GE Fanuc Series 90-30) with an embedded Ethernet cable and a built-in serial port. This unit is the "brain" of the PLC and is where most calculations take place. Check the specifications of the unit on the IC693CPU364 website page. The standard application of IC693CPU364 is to connect the 316 pin serial port of the computer to the standard Ethernet interface of IC693CPU364 through the IC9CBL693. Note that the Ethernet interface of the IC693CPU364 is Ethernet Global Data (EGD). The advantage of this built-in Ethernet interface is that you do not need to use a separate Ethernet module on your device, such as the CMM321. In fact, you can save the PLC slot according to the built-in nature of the Ethernet port on the IC693CPU364.


EGD also allows the CPU364 to handle specialized parameters that the HHP configuration mode cannot. Unlike the CMM321, the CPU364 does not require an external transceiver. The CPU364 has a built-in transceiver that can be connected via a 10BASE-T port. The CPU364 does provide some functionality to add external transceivers. This can be done by bypassing the AAUI port of the internal transceiver. Some basic things to note about the IC693CPU364 is that when using the CPU364, you must connect to the frame ground at the slot where it is installed. The CPU364 uses the flash firmware standard and has neither EPROM nor EEPROM. The IC693CPU364 has a current rating of 1A and uses a GE Fanuc fuse 44A725214-001. The CPU364 has ports 1, RS-232, AAUI, and 10Base T. These ports allow the CPU364 to connect to a terminal or terminal emulator (port 1), to an external Ethernet transceiver (AAUI) via IEEE 802.3, and to 10Base T Ethernet networks. The IC693CPU364 provides users with up to 240K bytes of program memory. Note: The actual size of available user program memory depends on the amount configured for %R, %AI, and %AQ configurable word memory types, as described below. Its register memory (%R) can be configured in 128-word increments, Logicmaster in 128 to 16,384 words, and Control version 128.32 in 640 to 2,2 words increments. It has a 1280-bit discrete global memory (%G), a 4096-bit internal coil (%M), a 256-bit output (temporary) coil (%T), and a 128-bit system state reference (%S, %SA, %SB, and %SC have 32 bits each). Both analog inputs (%AI) and outputs (%AQ) can be configured in 128-word increments, Logicmaster in 128-16,384 words, and Control version 128.32 in 640-2, 2-word increments. Discrete input (%I) and output (%Q) outputs are 2,048 each. It has a 28-word (%SR) system register, which is used only for reference table viewing and cannot be referenced in user logic programs. It features a shift register, overlay, battery backup clock, interrupts to support periodic subroutine functionality, and more than 2000 timers/counters.
