Ge has developed a 207X1LCSAEH531 LAN (local Area Network) current source board for the 531X Series replacement board. A range of GE drives and exciters can accept and use the card. The LAN system in the drive receives power from this motherboard with a voltage rating of 5 VDC or 15 VDC. The card also offers a voltage limited 0.3A current source. All power supplies on the board are protected from input sources by 115 VDC fuses.
The onboard configurable option gives users the flexibility to install this card. Since the board is capable of generating two power supplies, the user can choose the power supply required. The integrated jumper provides position 1.2 to select 5 VDC, while 2.3 allows 15 VDC to be selected. The voltage output from the board can also be adjusted to suit the selected power supply. An onboard potentiometer is used to select the appropriate output voltage required. All input and output signals through the card are received and sent by the 12-point terminal board on the card.
All installation parameters for LAN current source boards produced by the manufacturer should be followed. Meeting these requirements will protect the 531X207LCSAEH1 and its drives from accidents or damage. Do not allow any untrained personnel to handle or install this board. All wiring and installation instructions can be found in the equipment manual and data sheet. Ge initially provided technical support for the entire 531X series, including the board.
