Ge developed the 187X1VCTADG531 voltage and current sensor card for the 531X series board. When installed, the sensor card is used to convert the received voltage signal into an isolated current or isolated voltage signal. Initially, only drive product operating family DC-300, AC-300, and AC-500 drives could accept this card. Now, most drives that use drive product operation technology can accept this card. The installation location varies depending on the drive being installed.
When sent to the board, the voltage is provided along with the transfer point. The two isolated outputs, called ATB and BTB, are located on the 531X187VCTADG1 board. The output of both channels is powered by a 24 VDC supply on the board. Individual requirements for specific loads can be met through configurable points on the board. On board, jumpers allows the user to change the filtering time constant of the signal. The switch also allows adjustments to change the baseline input level needed to produce the full output.
The installation parameters associated with the board should be met to ensure overall driver operation. Personnel trained to install the board should be the only users allowed to operate the 531X187VCTADG1 board. Proper wiring is essential to ensure that the board functions properly.
