The GE DC power supply and dashboard DS200SDCIG2AHB serve as the interface for the DC2000 model driver. DS200SDCIG2AHB is easily damaged by static electricity. However, there are some general rules you can follow to avoid damage caused by electrostatic charges. Before installing the board, place the board in an anti-static package and touch an unpainted metal surface, which may be a drive or other device or structure. Let it touch the metal surface for 2 seconds, allowing static electricity to escape from the plate.
Do not place the board outside the ESD package. Simply place it directly in the drive to reduce the chance of static buildup. Also, keep the outer edge of the board and never touch the components or solder.
Removing a defective circuit board requires a number of necessary steps to prevent electric shock, burns, or safety hazards. Before you touch any components inside the drive, make sure all current is removed from the drive. Follow the shutdown procedure established for your site and verify that all current has been removed using a current tester.
Open the door on the drive and enter the printed circuit board, including the DS200SDCIG2AHB. You will notice that a board is blocking access to the DS200SDCIG2AHB. You can pull down the two locking mechanisms to tilt the barrier forward and access the DS200SDCIG2AHB. Before removing the board, disconnect all cables.
