The GE Fanuc IC660BSM120 Genius I/O Bus switch module is a simple and reliable module that connects Genius I/O blocks to two serial buses at the same time. Unlike the IC660BSM021 switch module, the IC660BSM120 switch module is powered by AC or DC and is applicable to the I/O modules that support AC. The IC660BSM120 switch module is designed to connect up to 8 I/O blocks on the same pair of serial buses, and wiring additional IC660BSM120 modules can increase Genius I/O block connections to up to 30 blocks on the same pair of buses. A properly configured dual-bus configuration not only connects the I/O blocks to the serial bus, but also stores the communication path in the event of a bus failure. The IC660BSM120 switch module is controlled by the B-phase discrete blocks in the cluster connection. During operation, the first circuit on this I/O block can be configured as a dedicated output for the bus switch module.

The GE Fanuc IC660BSM120 switch module can be configured by HHM (Genius Handheld Display) or CPU programming, and can also be used for switching between buses. When bus B is selected, the operating voltage of the IC660BSM120 switch module ranges from 90 V to 130 V for AC and 95 V to 150 V for DC. When busbar A is active, its rated operating voltage is less than 65 V AC DC, and the maximum current output is 60 mA at 115 V AC and 12 mA at 120 V DC. The rated reliability of the IC660BSM120 switch module is up to 500,000 operations (minimum) and the maximum activation time is less than 20 milliseconds.
