The GE Fanuc IC693APU305 processor module is designed as a stand-alone I/O processor module capable of receiving information from a field device connected to its input, processing that information according to a user-defined instruction set, and then producing an output signal to modify the behavior of the controlled variable without the need for a separate central processing unit (CPU). Complex motion control applications, such as speed measurement, bulk material handling, product packaging, labeling and marking applications, can be decentralized using a stand-alone GE Fanuc IC693APU305 I/O processor module. These input and output processors are excellent tools that help users streamline industrial processes that rely on fast response devices to efficiently deliver the desired throughput.
The GE Fanuc IC693APU305 I/O processor module can be inserted into any slot on the GE Fanuc series 90-30 programmable controller or PLC baseboard for easy installation. The I/O module draws its 5-volt DC supply voltage from the backplane, but it does not power field devices connected to its I/O, so they must be powered by a separate power supply. The GE Fanuc IC693APU305 I/O processor module can monitor up to 12 inputs, and the module will respond to system requirements by protecting the output with its eight fuses. TTL pulse signals (off state :0 V DC, on state :5 V DC) or pulse signals in the range of 10 to 30 V DC can be connected to the module's input. Both input and output cables are connected to the module via detachable terminal plates.
