The IC694ACC310 is a series 90-30 Programmable Logic controller (PLC) platform accessory module. This module is technically called a filler module, and is sometimes called a slot filler module or a dummy module. This element is mainly used to cover the empty slots of the 90-30 series baseplate, protecting the electronic circuit from dust, dirt, oil, water, chemical and other industrial elements.
The IC694ACC310 occupies a single slot in the chassis. It supports removal and insertion under power supply, as this fill module is not connected to the backplane, as it does not carry any electronic circuits, however, in older units that are often exposed to vibration and shock, care should be taken to insert and remove.
The IC694ACC310 can be installed on the local backplane where the CPU is installed. Extended backplanes, remote backplanes or distributed I/O stations along network interface modules (NIU).
