The solid-state serial interface module designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc is called the IC693BEM320 solid-state Serial I/O Interface module. It is manufactured for the proprietary GE Fanuc I/O Link network protocol and the interconnect of Series 90-30 or Series 90-70 programmable logic controllers (PLCS). The module can be configured by the user to send 32 or 64 I/O points to the GE Fanuc I/O Link, but only as a slave module, not as a master module. The configuration of the GE Fanuc IC693BEM320 I/O module can be done simply by setting the jumper located inside the front cover to the correct mode, depending on the application of the user. There are two serial communication ports in the module, one for RS-485 serial protocol and the other for RS-422 serial protocol.

The operating temperature of the GE Fanuc IC693BEM320 I/O interface module should be maintained at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and the humidity should be controlled at 5% to 95%(no condensation).
