The IC660BBD120 is a high-speed counter module that is part of Genius Block IO and can be used as a component of the distributed I/O architecture. The module was formerly part of GE Fanuc's automation product catalog and is currently owned by Emerson Automation. Despite the change of brand, the functions and features of the module remain the same. The functional modules feature twelve (12)5V DC to 30V DC inputs, accept frequencies up to 200 kHz and four (4)4.75V DC to 5.25V DC, 200mA outputs, and are specifically designed for turbine flow meters, instrument validation, speed measurement, material handling, and motion control applications. This module has an open shell. It must be installed in a housing that provides adequate protection against industrial contaminants. In addition, it has a compact raddless design consisting of two (2) components, namely the terminal base assembly with part number IC660TBD120 and the electronic assembly with catalog number IC660EBD120. These modular features allow the module to be serviced without removing the drive wire connection. The module's rackless design eliminates the need for the operation of the baseboard and communication with partner equipment. It can be mounted to a shell panel secured through the provided mounting holes. This high-speed counter block can handle inrush currents of up to 3 amps with up to 10 milliseconds of output at a time. It can operate at temperatures from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and be stored at temperatures from -40 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The non-condensing humidity level it can tolerate in operation and storage is between 5% and 95%. The IC660BBD120 high-speed counter block can handle applications with 1, 2, or 4 different counters of varying complexity.
