The IC660BBD025 is a Block I/O from the Genius I/O Block family. The device is primarily used to implement a distributed I/O architecture, as the IC660BBD025 is a fully functional Genius I/O node with 32 I/O circuits, a built-in Genius communication terminal, and an integrated Handheld Monitor (HHM) port. The IC660BBD025 was originally manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation, but this product line and other automation equipment have been acquired by Emerson Automation. The module supports remote installation, close to the machine or process being controlled, as the IC660BBD025 is able to communicate with controllers up to 7,500 feet away. It can directly integrate Series 90-30, Series 90-70 controllers and other controllers that support communication protocols, as well as genius Bus controllers, interface modules and third-party devices. The module's input circuit accepts a 12/24 V nominal power supply in the 10 to 30 VDC range; 4.9 to 5.3 volts voltage range for 5 volts nominal power supply in sink configuration only. The input circuit has an optional filtering time of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 or 100ms and an input processing time of 1.4 ms. The output circuit has a rated current of 0.5 amps and a maximum surge current of 4 amps for up to 10 milliseconds. The module has a total output current of 16 amps and a single output delay of 0.5 ms. The IC660BBD025 provides status LED indicators such as module OK and I/O Enabled. The module is also equipped with a resettable self-protection circuit and advanced diagnostics.
GE Fanuc Genius I-O IC660BBD025 The I/O block is an aggregated I/O block. It is available with 5 volts, 12 volts or 24 volts DC voltage ratings. It also comes with 32 I/O points. The block has a rated load current of 0.5 amps. I/O blocks can be connected to different input devices, switches, and field devices. The IC660BBD025 I/O absorber block can be easily configured and it can be used as an input or output device. The front of the block is equipped with different ports and LED indicators. Each of the 32 I/O points on the front has an LED that lights up when a specific I/O point is used. The I/O block has been certified to UL standards and other industry standards. The IC660BBD025 I/O block has built-in protection, including overtemperature, overload and short circuit protection. This genius I/O block is fully compatible with +5 volt transistor logic (TTL). The block is compact, and it measures 8.83 inches high, 3.58 inches wide, and 4.7 inches deep. It emits 11 watts of heat with just eight inputs, and 18 watts from all 32 points. Block to block isolation voltage is 850 volts.
