The 531X124MSDAJG2 is a smaller circuit board assembly manufactured by GE for use in general-purpose drive systems such as the DC-300.
The 531X124MSDAJG2 is an MFC suppressor board. This is just one of several versions of this board. The 531X124MSDAJG2 is a small rectangular plate with multiple cuts and drill holes. The center of the plate has four circular incisions, and the incisions are surrounded by conductive materials; They are labeled AF, DW, DZ and KF, respectively. There are two additional round cuts and one oval cut. These are labeled DX, DY and GF.
The 531X124MSDAJG2 has three metal oxide varistors. MOVs is used for overvoltage protection, using voltage clamping to prevent transient surges, the same principle as Zener diodes. The board has four plug-in connectors located along the top edge of the board. They're labeled K1 through K4. The board has a single and double needle connector and two terminal pin connectors. The terminal pin connector is located in the lower left corner.
Other components on the 531X124MSDAJG2 include two capacitors, each with a zipper buckle for increased support and connection to the circuit board. It has two winding resistors. And four metal film resistors. The board has only one transformer. This component uses surface wiring to connect to various other components on the board.
