The Mark VIe Controller IS420UCSCH1C is a quad-core controller running on the 1.2GHz AMD g series. The controller was made by General Electric. As a quad-core controller, the device is equipped with the QNX Neutrino real-time hypervisor multitasking OS(operating system) to run high-speed, highly reliable industrial applications. Depending on the type of application being used, the controller is loaded with model-specific software. The device is a BoP(Factory Balance) controller that will run firmware and applications from the Mark VIe family utilizing the IONet interface. The IONet interface is labeled as a dedicated dedicated Ethernet interface that only supports Mark control of I/O controllers and packets.

Many, if not all, of the remaining controllers that are not labeled as UCSC controllers use I/O on the backplane, and the IS420UCSCH1C controller does not use this type of application and does not have the ability to host any I/O applications. If this controller is used in a redundant set, all additional I/O networks will send input data to all additional controllers. The software and hardware on this controller have the capability to guarantee that a single point of application input will not be lost if the controller is shut down for maintenance or repair.

The IS420UCSCH1C controller must meet these requirements. When installing the controller, make sure to use two mounting screws to mount it directly onto the selected mounting base, noting that at least four inches of air flow is required above and below the UCSC.
