The IS420UCPAH2A module is the second of two controller programs with integrated I/ o in the Mark VIe series produced by General Electric. This controller is almost identical to the previous UCPA controller for the IS400WEXPH1A extended I/O board, allowing for additional I/O functionality. The additional I/O functionality on this controller is 4 additional DIOs for a total of 8; Another six ai, eight in total, and two analog outputs. As with the previous controller, the input/output points on this controller also have the ability to be configured point-to-point.

After installation, the IS420UCPAH2A controller is installed directly on the sheet metal panel and is contained in a single module. When operating properly, the controller will run on a nominal power supply of 12 volts DC, in the range of 9 to 16 volts DC. The input power will be powered by the Level II protection level. When connecting controller input terminals, make sure they are no longer than 98 feet.

The IS420UCPAH2A controller has several leds, DIO1-8, pulses 1 and 2, and an attention LED. The DIO and Pulse leds will be solid yellow, but the attention leds will be red and green with multiple flashing codes. There are green and red ATTN LED flashing codes, some of which are as follows, a red 4 Hz LED at 50% indicates that the diagnostic alert is active, a red 1 Hz LED at 50% indicates that no firmware is available, and a green 1/2 Hz LED at 50% indicates that the component has finished powering on.
