The IS420PFFAH1A device is an Energy Foundation Fieldbus gateway designed by General Electric to work in a Mark VIe or Mark VIe security control system. The model can also be seen as a first/last connected device that can be removed or added based on a number of different alerts that occur during the operation of the Mark VIe system.

There are several gateway types available in the Mark VIe system, and the IS420PFFAH1A model is just one of several different types. The model can use a variety of redundancy modes, including three-mode redundancy (TMR), single-mode redundancy, or dual redundancy.

The IS420PFFAH1A model is used to perform diagnostic tests within the Mark VIe system. One of the potential alerts that can occur during an operation is a 545 alert indicating that an active PFFA diagnosis has been detected. To resolve this issue, the user may have to go to the ToolboxST application and proceed to the Component Editor Hardware TAB and identify the PFFA model that has an active diagnosis. Then correct the identified problems.
