Product description
Equipped with an enhanced panel, GE Multilin's 469-P5-LO-A20-E is a motor protection relay designed for large and medium sized motors. The relay itself is protected by DEMO metal carrying case with corrosion resistance, dust resistance and high temperature resistance. When shipped, the relay package is 12 inches wide, 11 inches high, and 10 inches deep. In addition, the package weighs about 17 pounds.
The device extends motor life and reduces system downtime through its protection mechanism. These protection features include:
Overtorque protection: The 469-P5-LO-A20-E monitors and protects the drive load from damage when the torque exceeds a user-set threshold.
RTD Protection: The 469's 12 RTD inputs are highly programmable to alert users to dangerous ambient temperature changes. When the value reaches the threshold set by the user, alarm, trip and high alarm functions can be assigned.
Ground fault protection: The ground current detection function protects the motor from a contact ground fault by removing the DC component from the dangerous current.
Among other protective features, these reduce system downtime and extend motor life.
The 469 has simulation capabilities that allow it to test the effectiveness of the relay and evaluate how it works with the current set point Settings. Numerical simulation input; Failure conditions and pre-trip conditions can also be simulated.
