The IS420ESWBH2A device is an unmanaged IONet/ Industrial Ethernet switch designed by General Electric for use in Mark VIe or Mark VIe security control systems. A key defining feature of the differences between the five ESWB switches is the number of fiber ports on the switch; This switch has two 100Base-FX multimode fiber ports, which have lc connections regardless of the mode of fiber port. One special feature about RJ45 connectors is that they have the ability to handle a lot of pressure and should be able to use up to 200 insert/remove cycles.
The standard operation of the IS420ESWBH2A switch will center on the ability to buffer multicast and broadcast packet streams. Multiple streams will enter the switch, and each port has enough space to buffer one packet, note that multiple streams often allow only one incoming stream to be buffered, and the remaining streams must be saved for later transmission.
Because high reliability is required when using IS420ESWBH2A switches, several performance criteria should be considered during operation, switch architecture, inrush current, and switch latency. The surge current of the switch will provide a soft start, which will help limit the surge current to less than 200 percent of the normal operating current.
