Product description
The IC697BEM711 is a 90-70 series bus receiver module (BRM) designed by GE Fanuc.
As a high-speed parallel bus expansion interface, the IC697BEM711 comfortably extends from the mainframe to up to seven additional IC697 PLC racks and is equipped with up to 50 feet of interconnect cables. The IC697BEM711 comes with convenient configuration software and no DIP switch is required.
The IC697BEM711 module has a maximum weight of just 4 pounds and features a slot with two connectors. It is important to note that the IC697BEM711 BRM must always be installed in slot 1. Another notable feature of the IC697BEM711 is the use of leds to indicate the continuous status of the module, the rack, and the presence or absence of the required I/O bus terminator plug. IC697BEM711 maintains last state operation of the output module in case of possible loss of communication with the CPU. It also allows the isolation and repair of faulty modules within the rack.
Note: The IC697 PLC system can only be configured with the IC697BEM711 using MS-DOS software programs or Windows features. After the configuration Settings are selected, the user will be prompted to confirm whether the RCM exists. Be sure to refer to the Programmer controller installation manual before attempting any installation.
