The IC200ALG262 is a 15-bit differential current module for GE Versamax with 8 channels. The analog input module provides an interface to eight analog current inputs that receive power from the backplane power supply. This means that no external power supply is required for module operation. However, power to the user transceiver needs to come from an external power source.
The IC200ALG262 has a set of eight differential input channels with a 15-bit converter resolution. The CPU or NIU performs intelligent processing on the machine because the module provides 8-word analog input data. The device reports power loss failures in field side circuits and open circuit failures in each channel, but only in 4-20mA mode. The jumper on the carrier terminal can be used to configure this range or the 0-20mA input range as needed, or the absence of a jumper cable will allow the module to use the 4-20mA range. In addition, LED lights indicate power and normal operation.
When installing the IC200ALG262 module for the first time, check whether all components are damaged. Do not use damaged parts, as this may affect the overall function. Analog channel connections should be created using shielded twisted pair cables that are grounded at the source device. However, if it is not possible to ground at the source, then the grounding of the I/O module is appropriate and can be done using the auxiliary I/O terminal. If this option is used, masking connections can be made on the secondary I/O terminals connected to the I/O carrier. If additional connections are required, an auxiliary I/O terminal block can be used.
