The General Electric DS215SDCCG1AZZ01A is a drive control card developed for the Mark V series circuit board. The card contains the main control circuit and system software. Uses for this card include drive applications for AC2000, DC2000, and EX2000 series drives. The board consists of three microprocessors and a dual-port RAM.
The microprocessor on the DS215SDCCG1AZZ01A includes a Drive control processor (DCP), a motor control processor (MCP), and a comotor processor (CMP). Peripheral functions as well as analog and digital I/O are handled using DCP. Programs such as address decoders, wait state generators, and interrupt controllers are executed by this processor. MCP performs motor control functions as well as system I/O functions. If the processing power of the MCP is insufficient to execute the control algorithm, the CMP takes over. The processor has the additional processing power needed to perform advanced mathematical calculations. The storage space is integrated into five memory chips on the drive. Fault codes are displayed using 10 on-board LED groups. The code will be displayed to the user in binary coded decimal (BCD) or binary form.
