The IC693CHS393 is compatible with the 90-30 series. This is particularly a non-CPU substrate, specifically a Remote I/O substrate formerly known by GE Fanuc and now affiliated with Emerson Automation. This backboard is used to implement a distributed I/O architecture, and the Series90-30 is able to cover longer extended distances than using an extended backboard. With IC693CHS393, the length of the cable connecting all remote I/O baseboards must not exceed 700 feet. The IC693CHS393 mainly has ten (10) I/O slots and supports the installation of the 90-30 Series I/O and optional modules. These I/O slots have a specific and unique size and are not confused with other modules, thus preventing incorrect module installation.
