The IC693ALG223 is a PACSystems series 90-30 RX3i analog current input module with 16 channels. The module's 16 independent and single-ended channels can be configured in any of the following three ranges: 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA enhanced. High and low alarms are available for each range. In the enhanced range, the IC693ALG223 module can be set to a low alarm limit to detect input current through open fault detection in 4 to 20 mA applications; Users can also set high alert alarms. In addition, the module also reports the status, including the power status of the CPU. The IC693ALG223 can be used in any I/O slot that provides serial connectors in RX3i or 90-30 series systems.
The IC693ALG223 is a single slot module that can be installed in any of the 5-slot or 10-slot baseboards of the 90-30 series. The number of IC693ALG223 instances allowed varies depending on the controller you install. For Type 311, Type 313, and Type 323 systems, up to four (4) module instances are compatible. For Type 331 systems, eight (8) modules, 12 modules for type 340 and Type 341 systems, and 51 modules for Type 351 and Type 352 systems.
The IC693ALG223 has a 12-bit resolution, an update rate of 13 ms for all 16 channels, and an absolute accuracy of ± 0.25% of full scale @ 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) : 0.5% of ± full scale in the specified operating temperature range, 1 LSB (4 to 20 mA) in the linearity < 4 to 20 mA range, and <1 LSB (0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA) in the enhanced range of 100 μA to 20 mA. The module has a 1500 volt isolation capability between the field side and the logical side.
