The IC200PWR102, manufactured by GE Automation and Controls, is a VersaMax extended power unit with extended capabilities. This power supply unit is used to power many types of devices connected to the backplane, such as input and output modules, processing units, and network interface units. The IC200PWR102 differs from many other VersaMax power units in that it operates primarily on alternating current (AC) rather than direct current (DC). While the device is capable of acting as a primary power supply, it also excels at being used as a supplemental power supply when connected to a power boost carrier.
The IC200PWR102 has different options in terms of input voltage. When installing the jumper, the input voltage range is 85 volts to 132 volts AC, but the nominal value is 120 volts. When the jumper is not installed, the input voltage range is 176 volts to 264 volts AC, and the nominal voltage is 240 volts. Important: The jumper should not be used with the 240 V input voltage tage. Otherwise it will damage the power module and may lead to dangerous conditions. The IC200PWR102 can operate safely at 120 volts AC without a jumper.
The input power of this product is 27 volt-ampere and the frequency range is 47Hz to 63Hz. The holding time is rated at 20 ms; However, if this device is operating at an input voltage of 120 volts without a jumper installed, this hold time will not be accurate. Output voltages are 3.3 volts and 5 volts for a total maximum of 1.5 amps. The device supports limited protection measures, including short circuit and overload protection.
