Manufactured by GE Fanuc, the IC200MDL742 is a discrete output module with a total of 32 output points. These discrete output points are divided into two groups of 16 each, and each group is capable of load switching and providing load current. All output points of this module are of positive logic type.

This product is powered from a secondary power supply. When connected to the 5V output backplane, the module will consume a maximum of 150 mA of current. The module has a flexible operating voltage with a direct current (DC) range of 18 to 30 volts. However, the nominal operating voltage is 24 volts DC. The output voltage drop of this product is up to 0.5 volts, and the output point leakage is 0.5 mA when operating at 30 volts DC.

The standard response time for the "on" and "off" states of each output point is 0.5 ms. At 30 volts DC, the resistive load current is 0.5 amps per point and 2.0 amps at maximum surge for 100 milliseconds. In addition, the module offers multiple protection options for each output, including electronic short circuit protection, continuing diode and overcurrent protection. Each output point is also mapped to a status LED, with onboard diagnostics reporting the status of any overload points.

The module does not support inter-channel isolation, nor does it provide point-to-point isolation. However, the IC200MDL742 does support continuous intergroup isolation at 250 volts alternating current (AC) and up to one minute at 1500 volts AC.
