GE Industrial's Pack IS220YDOAS1A is designed to help provide electrical interfaces for discrete output terminal boards and up to two I/O Ethernet networks. The kit has a processor board and a capture board, which is also used for discrete output functions.

What is IS220YDOAS1A? The IS220YDOAS1A is a GE Mark VIeS secure discrete I/O package for gas turbine control applications.

As a YDOA discrete output packet module, the IS220YDOAS1A package is used to connect discrete output terminals and up to two I/O Ethernet cables. The main components of the board are the acquisition board and the universal processor board, both of which are used to help realize the discrete output function. A key feature of the battery pack is its ability to control up to 12 potential relays and receive specific feedback from the terminal plate. The output of this battery pack will be provided via a DC-37 pin connector, which will be connected directly to the associated terminal board.

This package can be used in two different redundancy configurations. If the IS220YDOAS1A package is used in a TMR redundant application, three I/O packages are required, whereas only one is required when used in a simplex redundant application. The package is capable of performing self-diagnostic tests, one of which is a power-on test that will check the processor board hardware, flash memory, Ethernet ports, and RAM. To correct this alarm, replace the I/O packet or completely replace the terminal board.
