GE/Bently Nevada 3500/60 and 3500/61 series temperature monitor modules provide 3,500 temperature monitoring channels and accept resistance temperature detector (RTD) and thermocouple (TC) temperature input. These modules adjust these inputs and compare them to user-programmable alarm setpoints. The 60/3500 and 61/3500 provide the same functionality, except that the 61/3500 provides logger output for each of its six channels, while the 60/3500 does not. Users program modules with 250 rack configuration software to perform RTD or TC temperature measurements.
Different I/O modules offer RTD/TC non-isolated or TC-isolated versions. Users can configure the RTD/TC non-isolated version to accept TC or RTD, or a mixture of TC and RTD inputs. The TC isolation version provides <> Vdc channel isolation to prevent external interference.
When used in a triple modular redundancy (TMR) configuration, the temperature monitors must be installed in groups of three adjacent to each other. When used in this configuration, the system uses two types of voting to ensure accurate operation and avoid a single point of failure.
