The 330130-085-01-05 is a 3300 XL standard extension cable manufactured by Bently Nevada for use in proximity sensor systems. The proximity sensor is factory calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. Can be calibrated to other target materials as needed. You can consult the Bentley Nevada application. When evaluating this sensor system for tachometer or overspeed measurements, note the factors to consider when using vortex proximity probes for overspeed protection applications. Physically and technically, non-XL 3300 5 and 8 mm components can be replaced with 3300 XL 8 mm components. Even though the packaging of the 3300 XL Proximitor® sensor is different from that of its predecessor, it is still designed to fit the same 4-hole mounting mode when used with a 4-hole mounting mode on the same mounting base and will comply with the same mounting space requirements.
When XL and non-XL 3300 series 5 and 8 mm system components are combined, system performance is limited to the non-XL 3300 5 and 8 mm sensor system standard.
The 3300 Series 5 mm probe (see Specifications and ordering information p/n 141605-01) has a smaller physical footprint than the 8 mm probe, but cannot be used with reduced side-view clearance or tip spacing.
This method is used when physical (rather than electrical) constraints prohibit the use of 8 mm probes. When a narrow side-view probe is required, use the 3300 NSvTM proximity sensor system.
The 8 mm probe provides a thicker probe coil package in the molded PPS plastic probe tip. As a result, the probe becomes more robust.
The increase in the diameter of the probe body also provides a stronger and more durable housing. For optimal robustness against physical abuse, Bently Nevada recommends the use of an 8 mm probe whenever feasible.
